Digital learning solutions

Learning has changed. Once bound to time and place, today’s digital learning solutions make development flexible, social, and accessible. Our virtual experiential learning fits into the flow of work, scales efficiently, and drives meaningful change for individuals, teams, and organisations.

Reimagining online leadership programmes

At Impact, we offer a wide variety of solutions for leadership developmentchange management, and team development needs. What they all have in common is they’re designed using our unique approach to experiential learning and focus on delivering business results for human-centred organisations.

How we deliver this can be different. At one end of our delivery spectrum, we work closely with groups of participants, bringing them together for face-to-face learning interventions. Increasingly, this is blended with virtual interactions, allowing learning across time zones and locations and making the experience accessible to more people.

At the other end of our delivery spectrum, we have virtual solutions. These digital learning solutions happen asynchronously and are led by the participant themselves, empowering them to own their learning journey. As with all Impact programmes the design is fully customised and is developed according to your specifications, ensuring alignment with your organisation’s business objectives. But this type of online leadership programme can be rolled out at pace and at scale, amplifying learning and action across every level, function and region of your organisation.

Yes. When designed well, experiential learning can be just as powerful online as it is in person. Effective digital experiential learning isn't about rolling out the same content over and over, or simply turning face-to-face programmes into leadership training online. Nor is it an off-the-shelf online leadership programme made up of content libraries and multiple-choice quizzes.

At Impact, our online leadership programmes deliver what all our solutions are designed to achieve: meaningful personal growth, leadership capability and organisational change through powerful experiential learning. We use technology to bring this to life, combining real-world business projects, AI coaching, peer learning, reflection, innovation challenges and practical application in the flow of work.

Our virtual experiential learning solutions help participants learn through experience, not content consumption. By connecting learning directly to real workplace challenges, participants build new capabilities while doing their jobs. Rather than relying on hours of screen time, our approach uses social learning, community and collaboration to create accountability, reflection and lasting behaviour change.

With the ability to flex to different languages, cultures, time zones and more, our virtual learning solutions enable us to create inclusive and accessible learning journeys at scale.

Online leadership development removes many of the traditional barriers to learning, making it possible to reach more people, more often, and in ways that fit around the realities of work and life. Rather than taking leaders away from their roles for a single workshop or event, learning can happen continuously, helping participants apply new insights and behaviours to real challenges as they arise.

Perhaps the greatest benefit is that learning becomes embedded in everyday work. Through a combination of reflection, workplace application, coaching, peer learning and experiential activities, participants develop leadership capabilities while leading projects, managing relationships and solving real business problems. This creates stronger connections between learning and performance, helping new behaviours stick over time.

Well-designed online leadership programmes also make it easier to connect people across functions, locations and time zones. Leaders can learn from diverse perspectives, build stronger networks and share experiences with colleagues they might never otherwise meet. For global organisations, this creates opportunities to develop a consistent leadership culture while remaining relevant to local contexts.

At Impact, we believe the real benefit of online leadership development isn't simply convenience. It's the ability to extend learning beyond the classroom, bringing leadership development into the flow of work and creating longer, more meaningful learning journeys that drive lasting individual and organisational change. Whether delivered as leadership training online, a large-scale online leadership development programme or a global virtual leadership development journey, the goal remains the same: helping leaders learn through experience and apply their learning where it matters most - in the workplace.

Absolutely. For many global organisations, virtual leadership development is a highly effective way to connect leaders across countries, functions and time zones. By bringing people together to learn, share perspectives and tackle challenges collectively, organisations can build relationships that might never have formed through traditional, location-based programmes.

The greatest challenges facing global organisations rarely sit with one individual or one team. They require collaboration, collective learning and the ability to adapt quickly to change. Well-designed virtual leadership development programmes create opportunities for leaders to learn from one another, tackle real organisational challenges together and build networks that extend across the business.

At Impact, we believe the value of technology isn't simply that it removes geographical barriers. It also enables learning to become more continuous, inclusive and accessible. Rather than limiting development to a small group of high potentials, online leadership programmes can bring learning to larger populations while still creating meaningful opportunities for dialogue, reflection and application.

We've seen this approach work successfully in global organisations such as Grundfos and Orica, where leaders across multiple regions participate in shared learning experiences while applying their learning in their own local contexts. By combining digital experiential learning, peer learning and workplace application, organisations can develop a consistent leadership culture globally without losing local relevance.

These four principles guide our use of technology in learning:

Learning is the work

As the pace at which we need to learn increases, technology enables us to support learners to use new knowledge directly and immediately, which means breaking down the boundary between learning about the work and doing the work.

Let the learning lead

Putting the learner at the heart of organisational system design is key to ensuring it meets the learning need. The technology isn’t the main event; it’s an enabler of what matters: real learning and real change.

Context not content

We've found a lot of clients have built vast content libraries to discover they are not being used, or if they are, that the learning is not being applied. For online leadership and management courses to be effective they should be context driven, real, immediate, current, and relevant. Leadership training online needs to be less about access to knowledge and more about learning transfer – the ability to apply learning to context.

Process not platform

Digital learning technologies have not changed how people learn; they have simply given us new and emerging tools to support our approach to experiential learning. To improve engagement and effectiveness, the role of high-quality learning design should always come first, before we seek relevant platforms to deliver the learning.

Our virtual learning solutions harness a variety of innovative technologies, including our own tools and your existing platforms. From our learning app, Air, to supportive AI coaches, immersive Inscape Rooms and learning that's seamlessly integrated into your existing platforms, we use technology to create engaging, impactful learning experiences.

But we don't get hung up on the technology itself. Technology is simply an enabler, and what feels cutting-edge today may be outdated tomorrow. What matters is helping people learn, grow and change. That's why we focus on learner outcomes rather than platforms, selecting the right tools to support stronger leadership, meaningful behaviour change, better collaboration and lasting organisational impact.

We are constantly experimenting, innovating and developing new tools based on what we learn from our clients. But whatever technologies we use, our focus remains the same: creating high-quality learning experiences that put the learner and your context first.
