About

Ringier Axel Springer Polska is the leading print and online media group in Poland. Impact supported Ringier Axel Springer Polska’s transformational change process by building leadership capability and a culture of agility and collaboration.

Objective

To prepare and enable the integration of all Ringier Axel Springer Polska companies 'under one roof', supporting a transformational agenda with two behavioural change focuses:

Leadership – to create and sustain a common culture of trust and engagement.
Culture – to develop an agile business approach to anticipate customer needs and seize new market opportunities.

Solution

Impact have developed an integrated organisation-wide change solution featuring ‘top team’ workshops; executive coaching; a 'Leadership in Action' programme; strategic workshops for the top 40 leaders; change advisory meetings and innovation workshops. Solution elements included:

Building a strong leadership action culture – increasing leadership capabilities for all.

Customised business simulation - putting participants in the shoes of their competitors which culminated in a presentation of strategic initiatives to the board.

Community Action Learning (CAL) - working with a charity to support them with the communication of their vision.

Playback - feedback of results from workshops and an online survey to the board and wider organisation.

Values and Strategy Ambassadors –Impact designed train-the-trainer workshops to prepare ambassadors to deliver workshops across the business to encourage dialogue around the optimal RASP culture and strategy.

Strategic focus workshops -The top 40 leaders gather twice a year over three days to review the strategy, exchange feedback, integrate and build trust through experiential activities including mini CAL projects.

Result

The programme resulted in an improved and more collaborative business culture with key leaders having developed their leadership capacity and increased trust – crucial for the effective transformation of the business.

Impact and RAS Polska has won Business Culture Award for Best Integration & Merger Initiative and was highly commanded in Best Business Culture Transformation Initiative category. The award recognized great work on the transformational change process.
