About

Sanofi Pasteur is the vaccines division of the multinational pharmaceutical company Sanofi. Sanofi Pasteur is the largest company in the world devoted entirely to vaccines.

Sanofi Pasteur MSD asked Impact Italia to work with them to:

  • Develop a competency model/framework that corresponded to current business needs
  • Design and deliver an assessment centre for the key sales force of the company

Sanofi Pasteur MSD required the assessment centre to map competency levels of the sales force – a team of 10 Area Managers and 60 Vaccine Specialists, to inform development processes and succession planning.

Impact consultants conducted a series of individual interviews with key stakeholders. Impact then designed two assessment centres – working on a ratio of one assessor to three participants.

The Vaccine Specialists attended a 1.5-day assessment centre, while the Area Managers’ event took two days and was more complex in design to mirror their workplace challenges.

Over five years more than 150 people were assessed and supported in their development programmes. Impact provided the business with a database of all the results to allow them to strategically assess managerial potential.
