BDO is the fifth largest full service accounting and advisory firm in the world. In Australia they have more than 160 partners and over 1,300 people providing tax. Impact worked with BDO to design a practical yet inspirational development programme for emerging leaders.

The Apex Leadership Development Program in Australia was developed as a result of an initial directive from the Executive Committee to design a practical yet inspirational development program for the emerging leaders. The Team worked in close partnership with Impact Australia on the leadership journey and The Talea Group on business development to design and deliver the Apex Program.

The Apex program combines Impact’s current thinking on leadership and The Talea Group’s experience in business development to enhance organisational performance coupled with lots of practical experience, tools and techniques. The multi-modular program included 360° feedback, diagnostics, cross-functional business projects, experiential projects and learning reviews.

"Throughout the program learning was created through integrating experience with theory and drawing practical conclusions. Feedback to individuals about the effectiveness of their leadership and business development actions ensured that the learning was relevant, leading to lasting behavioural change in the workplace." - Afroditi Bousnakis, National Head of Learning & Development

"After a long working relationship with Impact in the UK, I was eager to engage them in my early days as the General Manager of Premium Financial Services. We ran two sessions, one for my leadership team and another with some of our outstanding talent. Both events were brilliant. As a participant and a leader I saw immense benefits on a personal and business level. We now have clarity of vision, purpose and direction along with a unique bond that will allow us to soar to new heights."

“Training at KPI has undergone a significant transformation to focus more on talent development. Senior KPI managers are closely involved in the programmes and act as observers to provide verbal one- to-one feedback, which greatly benefits the candidates. We also encourage people to take personal responsibility for their individual growth by creating their own development plans and this is achieving high levels of buy in and commitment.”
