best experiences

We have delivered world-class experiences around New Zealand and Asia Pacific, which we're very proud of and we hope to repeat in 2010.

Here is just a taster:

  • Developing people in Northern Queensland; working with indigenous Australians
  • The best REAL coaching workshops in NZ, whereby coaching is used as the contemporary way of doing business
  • Authentic facilitator programme: taking people on a journey of being true to themselves whilst getting real time learning from doing business
  • Developing talented people in tough markets to become leaders of that market
  • Contributing personal time to the Special Olympics in Wanaka, NZ
  • Developing teams by building sustainable ECO Formula One-concept cars
  • Connecting people from all over the world to resolve difficult business situations

Great things we have tried.....

Book to make you think: The Medici Effect by Frans Johansson

Best movies: Julie and Julia (Meryl Streep is fantastic as the famous Julia Childs. Bon appetit!), Slumdog Millionaire, Topp Twins (Kiwi classic).

Noteworthy Albums: Gin Wigmore - "Holy Smoke" and Shapeshifter - "The System is a Vampire" (Tim and Ross would also like to mention their '09 fave, Taylor Swift and her album, "Fearless". Far too hip for their own good).

The body is a temple: Try the liver cleansing diet. We've all tried it and raved about our energy levels. Drink green teas and alkalise people.

Two wheels: We must get on our soap box about single speed bikes, definitely something to check out on You Tube.

Get inspired: www.ted.com for ideas worth spreading.

Flexibility: www.splitfit.com.au Feeling ambitious? then this could just be the thing you're looking for.

Things to try with peanut butter: banana, bacon, chicken and marshmallow (I know what you're thinking, but it's worth a try. Although... try seperately for the desired effect).

Reading list: What the team are reading at the moment?

  • Good Magazine (NZ's Guide to sustainable living). This gives access to current views, organisations and services available to the NZ consumer

  • Glimmer - Warren Berger - ISBN 9781847940049. How design can transform your business, your life and maybe even the world. Glimmer talks about the role of design in solving difficult problems both technical and social. It outlines a set of principles by which problems can be solved. The book gives many examples and the process to how they were resolved. These include;
A wheel chair that climbs stairs
A laptop for kids in the developing world
    A revolutionary anti smoking campaign
After 2 civil wars creating a nation of optimists

  • Conversations on Leadership - Lan Liu - ISBN 9780470825693. Firstly leadership is about activity not position. "Leadership is about something that you exercise or not, not something that you have or not. If you have exercised leadership you are a leader: otherwise you are not. It does not matter whether you have a splendid title or a mass of subordinates". Lan Liu

This book covers major leadership scholars and practitioners and gives them a place across cultures. It opens the way for us to think seriously about enriching our Western models and not about rejecting them. It gives current up to date thinking and a condensed version of the most popular ideas.

The drive for Lan Liu to write the book comes from one of his early statements. "Perhaps the only thing that matters in leadership is the part that we struggle to capture and bottle. Conversation has been one of my main pathways to pursue it." Lan Liu

  • The Goal - Eliyahu M. Goldratt

  • Four Days with Dr. Deming - William J. Latzko & David M, Saunders
