LTEN Excellence Award Winners!
Impact International, in partnership with Celgene Corporation, Announced as a Winner in Learning Content at the 2016 LTEN Excellence Awards!
Impact International has been named the Learning Content award winner at the 2016 LTEN Excellence Awards, honoring best-in-class learning and development initiatives within the life sciences sector.
In partnership with Celgene Corporation, Impact designed and delivered a 12-month development experience for selected high-potential, Director-level leaders. Participants were immersed in a leadership journey including 4 live modules, various virtual elements, and an action-learning project where participants collaborated to deliver on real business challenges. Participants had various opportunities to build their skills around effective leadership, executive presence, organizational knowledge, stakeholder management and accelerating high performance team dynamics.
A baseline assumption for Celgene is that developing a bench of high-potential Director-level leaders in a systematic way is critical to preparing the organization for continued and sustained growth in a rapidly changing pharma/biotech business environment. It was clear from the beginning that Celgene has a strong learning culture. Impact partnered with a seasoned Celgene L&D project team to design a powerful, multi-modular, live/virtual blended leadership program starting in April 2014.
Since then results have been outstanding with more than half of the population receiving just-in-time leadership development as they are now in more expanded and more senior roles and are able to leverage their new capabilities and confidence to lead at the next level. The program has enabled participants to create informal peer advisor networks and to gain exposure and visibility with senior leadership. In particular, the business challenge projects provided a robust opportunity for senior leaders to connect more directly and personally with these future leaders. It also created highly valuable development for participants on leading at the next level, immersing them in projects that touch on strategic areas of focus where they were pushed to expand their existing leadership mindsets and capacity.
We are honored to share in this premier awards program, which recognizes innovation and leadership within the life sciences learning and development community. Through the LTEN Excellence Awards competition, practitioners and suppliers enter learning initiatives and training content in various categories for recognition of excellence. Honors were presented in seven categories, including Innovation, Learning Content, Emerging Leader, Partnership and All-Star Teams. Finalists are selected by a diverse group of experienced judges and, from that group of finalists, one winner from each category is awarded.
“LTEN is honored to recognize this year’s stellar crop of Excellence Awards winners for their invaluable contributions to life sciences training and to their individual organizations,” said Dawn Brehm, LTEN executive director. “Each of this year’s record number of nominees were worthy of recognition, and our panel of judges had to make some very tough choices to determine the best and brightest. The addition of the new categories helped us recognize both teamwork and individual contributions to company success and to the life sciences training industry. Congratulations to each nominee, finalist and winner in this year’s awards program.”
