Facilitator / Consultant

These are the people – employed in every office around the world who work directly with our clients to:

• Carry out consultancy work
• Design and deliver our programmes and events
• Manage client relationships
• Grow our business.

You will need to have the ability to facilitate experiences live and in the moment - we do very little classroom style training, all of our events are tailor-made and designed around real, challenging and consequential experiences for participants. (These can be community based, creative, problem solving, business project, case study, business simulation or outdoor experiences).

This role can be on a permanent or associate basis and either based from one of our offices or located remotely.

What we are looking for in a Facilitator / Consultant

• A strong background in either, industry, education, human resources or consultancy
• At least five years experience of working with groups of people in a learning environment
• The ability, skill and enthusiasm to work with groups of people from Graduate to Board level
• A passion for developing people through our innovative approaches, providing life changing experiences
• The ability to design and manage learning/consultancy solutions to help organisations achieve business results
• A willingness to do whatever it takes to get a positive and practical result for individuals, groups and the client organisations with whom we work
• The ability to deliver our work in languages other than English is also an advantage
• Some exciting life experiences that mark you out as someone a bit different whom we'd be really interested in meeting.

Business Developer

In a nutshell, Impact’s Business Developers are the people who create new business opportunities for us. They proactively identify new leads and prospects as well as responding to incoming enquiries. Ultimately it is their job to build revenue from new clients as well as developing existing accounts.

They develop strong and lasting relationships with our clients and adopt a consultative rather than a ‘hard sell’ approach. Business Developers also take ownership for researching potential business sectors and clients, completing proposals and tender documents and attending sales presentations and meetings.

What we are looking for in a Business Developer

• Strong commercial awareness, an understanding of the business and our marketplace
• The ability to support team members to achieve the common organisational goal
• The ability to work alongside colleagues to develop strategies for business development and client relationships
• The ability to sell themselves, Impact and proposed solutions with confidence, passion and inspiration
• The ability to build strong connections and relationships with colleagues and customers
• A strong sales / account management background preferably within an organisation similar to ours
• A high level and breadth of industrial / commercial / public sector experience
• An ability to adapt to challenging performance goals, manage projects involving many tasks simultaneously and work to tight deadlines under pressure
• A passion for people development and for our innovative approaches
• A good sense of humour and a fun outlook on life.

Technical Support

We don’t employ people in this role in all of our offices, this work is also carried out by freelance staff. This job would find you working most days on programmes and events with clients, running outdoor challenges, guiding people through physical experiences, managing health and safety risks, being the IT / AV expert on an event, moving equipment and people, setting up and packing up.

What we are looking for in a Technical Support person

• An overwhelming desire to give great customer service, to do a great job technically and to being your own personality, skills and enthusiasm to every interaction with our customers
• National governing body outdoor qualifications
• High level of IT / AV technical and creative skills especially in the areas of events and conferences and movie making
• Some exciting life experiences that mark you out as someone a bit different who we'd be really interested in meeting.

Sometimes we need very specialist skills from Actors or Forum Theatre to Negotiation or Presentation Skills. Sometimes we combine roles and sometimes we take someone on to do a completely different job that we hadn’t realised we needed! That’s why we haven’t provided details of these roles – our needs are dynamic and change all the time, they also vary enormously from country to country.
