Impact’s Tiffany Kelly and David Williams have just returned from attending the BSR (Business for Social Responsibility) Conference 2009 in San Francisco.
 
The ambitious objective of the conference was to 'deliver business value by thinking big and embracing long-term sustainability trends'. Impressively, given the economic crisis, BSR managed to attract 1000 delegates from 40 different countries. Slightly less impressive was the face that many of the initiatives and examples quoted were now a few years old. The remarkable turn out, however, shows that there is still a huge commitment to issues of sustainability and an appetite to leverage the economic crisis for positive environmental and social change.
