Impact UK: English Cricket - the vision becomes reality
In 1999 fresh from Impact’s success with the British and Irish Lions, Simon Pack the international team’s director, engaged Impact to help the England and Wales Cricket Board get back to winning ways. Michael Atherton’s team had just lost to Zimbabwe and English Cricket was at a low ebb.
Lord Maclaurin had just taken over the role of chairman and English Cricket was about to go through major change including central contracts and a league system for the counties. In the Spring of 1999 at Merewood Hotel Windermere the Board of the ECB and senior management staff and players got together for a three day development programme facilitated by Impact.
