Impact UK: Leveraging Diversity & Organisational Development at HRD

Impact Consultant Kate Simpson is hosting a showcase on 'Leveraging Diversity for competitive advantage' at the HRD 2010 exhibition.

HRD 2010
is being held on 21-22 April at Olympia London.

Leveraging Diversity for competitive advantage

Traditional approaches to diversity have focused on risk avoidance, at HRD 2010 Impact will show you how to proactively create inclusive workplaces that get the best from your people and offer the best to your clients.

Increasingly, companies are linking workplace diversity to their strategic goals and objectives and holding management and HR accountable for the results.

Kate's presentation will provide key learning points on how to:

•  Create inclusive teams – where your people feel able and motivated to perform at their best

•  Promote leadership action – establish a culture where everyone is encouraged to perform acts of leadership that cause change, challenge inappropriate behaviour and breathe life into your corporate values

•  Manage performance – challenge underperformance and create an environment where diversity is understood and leveraged.

Kate will use up to date case studies to illustrate Impact's pragmatic and experiential approach to creating inclusive teams, working with individuals around their own beliefs and behaviours, rather than just at the level of organisational policy and procedure.

Kate's showcase will take place on Wednesday 21 April from 16:45 - 17:15

Organisational Development (OD) must take into account the emerging need for organisations to recognise and embrace social and environmental issues alongside economic ones. We explore ways of achieving sustainable OD through leadership, dialogue and engagement.
