Senior Consultant

My life as a Consultant with Impact is incredibly varied. I design and deliver across sectors in the areas of Team Development, Leadership Development and Change. A team of us recently completed the delivery of a two year Leadership Development programme to the Welsh Assembly Government, which I found very rich as we got to know our participants so well, and saw a lot of growth and change in people (ourselves included!) Some weeks this year have seen me work in client offices and conference centres, and at the other side of the spectrum I spent a week with one team in the highlands of Scotland, on an intensive physical and emotional Team Journey. The magical three ingredients of this job for me are people, challenge and as mentioned variety.

Alison Krauss, Karine Polwart, Lucinda West. I like my music!

Who makes you laugh?
Current favourite is Eddie Izzard, off to see his live show soon. Also a less well known act ‘the New Rope String Band’, they are creative and hilarious

Favourire place?
The north west of Scotland (it's in the genes)

Proudest moment at work?
I am going to twist this question like all skilled interviewees should... what I feel proud of at work is those moments where groups really open up and ‘get’ what our programmes are about. There is a sort of ‘in the flow’ feeling in those moments, as our work is part art, part science and part alchemy, and sometimes you can’t really say what created this but you know something special has happened
