The series followed Paul and his team as they travelled the globe from the Southern Ocean to the Arctic Ocean, unravelling the secrets of the depths for the BBC TV series.

About Paul
Paul Rose has worked with Impact for over 16 years now as our ‘Ideas into Action’ man. Paul’s work with Impact is focussed on corporate engagement with global issues and includes innovative programmes focussed on NGO links, climate change and sustainability.
Paul has a long record of heading up science support logistics in the world’s most challenging regions and leading expeditions worldwide.
Last year the Royal Geographical Society awarded Paul the coveted Ness Award for the “popularisation of Geography and the wider understanding of our world”.
For ten years he was Base Commander of the Rothera Research Station in Antarctica and was awarded Her Majesty The Queen's Polar Medal. He also received the US Navy Polar Medal for his work with NASA and the Mars Lander project on Mount Erebus, Antarctica.
As well as being highly qualified in conventional scuba diving, Paul also holds certified Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) instructor qualifications for all speciality courses such as deep, wreck, ice and recovery diving. Impressively, he's logged over 6,000 dives, making him Oceans' most experienced diver.
Paul has worked as a BBC presenter before, his previous credits include Take One Museum, Meltdown and Voyages of Discovery.
